What's new on the map
A live record of what actually changed, so you can trust the number next to a restaurant reflects the room this month, not a review from three years ago.
August 18, 2026
The August 2026 expansion
- +5757 new restaurants added to the board, ranked into the same 1-5 scale as everything else.
- 157Every address re-verified against Google Places, so the pin is on the actual door and not a two-year-old listing.
- 155Official restaurant websites linked on every profile that has one. Two spots (Tram's Kitchen, Gooski's) genuinely have no site.
- 13New category rankings launched at /rankings (pizza, burgers, tacos, date night and more), and the first PFM Awards are live.
The strongest new additions
Ranked by their own score, no head start for being new. Every one earned the spot.
Cork & Crust4.7Oakland · $$$ · No. 12 of 157
A Forbes Five-Star chef came home and picked pizza as the hill to die on. Three-day dough, blistered and structurally serious - proof a hotel restaurant can be the whole reason you drive to Oakland.

Bloomfield · $$ · No. 22 of 157
The best burger in Pittsburgh and it has been for decades. Hardwood grill, butcher on site, no reinvention required. Cash flows, the bar is loud, and the char on that patty is the whole argument.
Bar Marco4.1Strip District · $$$ · No. 37 of 157
The old No. 1 Engine House, and one of the rooms that taught this city to take cocktails seriously. Menu turns over constantly, which is either the appeal or the risk depending on your mood.

Lawrenceville · $$ · No. 45 of 157
A tiny Butler Street wine bar with a name that is a joke and a list that is not. Tell them what you like and let them ignore you productively.

Strip District · $ · No. 46 of 157
Strip District bakery counter doing tomato pie the old way: room temperature, heavy on the sauce, no cheese to speak of. Buy more than you think you need.

Sharpsburg · $$ · No. 47 of 157
The hop people. Dancing Gnome makes the best IPAs in western Pennsylvania and knows it. Small taproom, serious beer, worth the drive up the river.
